The developers behind Nakwon: Last Paradise have officially invited players to join their latest testing phase. A newly released trailer captures the game’s haunting vision, depicting a desolate Seoul where the remnants of humanity engage in a relentless daily struggle for dwindling resources.
This third-person online survival title pits players against the undead in a brutal urban environment. Under the shroud of night, scavengers must infiltrate the city ruins to retrieve essential supplies, facing constant threats not only from the infected but also from rival survivors desperate enough to kill for what they need.
The footage portrays a world where the foundations of society have crumbled. In this lawless landscape, every salvaged scrap can alter the course of a life. The core gameplay loop involves dangerous nocturnal excursions to gather loot, followed by daylight hours dedicated to fortifying shelters and securing a foothold in this unforgiving new reality.
Critics have highlighted similarities between Nakwon and the envisioned multiplayer experience of The Last of Us, praising its commitment to post-apocalyptic realism, high-stakes tension, and the looming threat of hostile player encounters.
A closed alpha test has already commenced on Steam, currently open to selected participants from the Americas and parts of Asia. This testing phase is slated to continue until March 16, with the application window remaining open until March 15.
