Most Popular Spider-Man Series Renewed for Franchise-Record Seventh Season
Disney has renewed the animated series Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends for a seventh season, scheduled to premiere on Disney Jr. and Disney+ in 2028. The renewal marks a franchise milestone, as no other Spider-Man television series has ever reached seven seasons.
The decision follows massive viewership numbers across streaming platforms. Since its premiere, Spidey and His Amazing Friends has accumulated nearly 1.3 billion hours watched on Disney+, making it the most-watched Marvel series on the service.
Aimed at preschool audiences, the show follows Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy as they team up with other Marvel heroes to battle villains, assist their community, and learn the value of teamwork.

Disney also showcased the first footage of the upcoming special Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! during D23. In the special, Spidey and his allies join forces with the Avengers to face two new villains: Jack O’Lantern, voiced by Fall Out Boy member Patrick Stump, and All Hallow’s Eve, voiced by Este Haim of the band HAIM.
The Halloween special will air on Disney Jr. on September 24, 2026, and will arrive on Disney+ the following day.
