Moonfrost enters Steam Early Access on October 12 with a village to rebuild
Oxalis Games will release Moonfrost in Steam Early Access on October 12. The PC life sim puts players in charge of rebuilding a village damaged by meteor storms, with farming, crafting and relationships woven into the restoration work.
Players take the role of a Frost Hunter who can turn fallen meteors into building materials and structures. Repairing the village means helping residents restore their homes and businesses, then choosing how to arrange and customise the town. Its story follows the community living beneath a mysterious second moon.
From gathering supplies to rebuilding homes
Harvesting crops, fishing and foraging provide resources for cooking and construction. Quests unlock tools, while requests and trade help fund further crafting. The surrounding world includes hidden temple areas to explore, changing weather and a day-and-night cycle.
Residents have their own personalities and developing storylines. Alongside the building work, players can form friendships and romantic relationships. Oxalis describes choices that affect relationships within the community.
Moonfrost is scheduled to open Early Access at 6 p.m. UK time on October 12, priced at $14.99, £12.99 or €14.99. Oxalis Games is both the developer and publisher.
