Mr. North gave no hints about the development of a new Uncharted game.

Actor Nolan North, who provided the voice and motion capture for Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series, stated that he would gladly return to his iconic role if Sony decides to continue the franchise.

During a Q&A session at the Gamergy event in Puerto Rico, North was asked if he would agree to play Drake again in a new Uncharted installment. The actor answered unequivocally: 100%, absolutely. According to him, he even tries to stay in shape just in case such an opportunity ever arises.

North noted that working on the series lasted for about a decade and became an important part of his career. He emphasized that during this time he managed to work closely with good friends and the development team, so he cannot imagine a situation where he would refuse a return.

At the same time, the actor did not confirm rumors about the potential development of Uncharted 5. North stated that he knows nothing about any new announcements, but if Sony actually decides to revive the series, it would become one of the biggest events in the gaming industry.

I haven’t heard anything, but it’s business. And you can imagine what would happen if they actually do it? That would be the biggest announcement in the gaming industry.

The actor also confessed that he hopes to see Nathan Drake back in action someday. He stressed that the return of the legendary series must be justified, pointing to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as an example of a disappointing franchise revival that developers should avoid repeating.

Nolan North voiced Nathan Drake in all four main Uncharted games, as well as in the spin-off Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita. Despite numerous rumors about a continuation of the series, an official announcement for Uncharted 5 has not yet followed.
