Players will soon be able to experience the classic stealth game together with a friend.

Modder Felipe recently released a new trailer for their modification project based on Hideo Kojima’s iconic game, Metal Gear Solid. The enthusiast is working to turn the 1998 release of Metal Gear Solid into a cooperative game.

In the video, Felipe offers players a look at the alpha version of the modification by showcasing a compilation of gameplay moments from a cooperative playthrough of Metal Gear Solid. Because this is a very early version, technical issues are present, which the modder is currently trying to fix:

I know about the bug where a guard flies very far away when killed by the second player. I swear to you, I’m trying to fix it.

Felipe also announced the launch of a Patreon channel where players can support their work. However, the creator clarified that they have no plans to lock the project behind a paywall:

None of my mods will be hidden behind any access tier. Any beta version or demo version will be completely available to everyone.

Felipe is currently continuing to test the Metal Gear Solid cooperative mode and fix various bugs. The modder did not specify when the full version of the project might be released.
