Mob Entertainment Announces Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 Release Date and Shares New Trailer Featuring ‘The Prototype’
The final chapter of the hit horror saga is finally on the horizon.
Mob Entertainment has officially pulled back the curtain on the release date for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, the concluding installment of the franchise. The game is scheduled to launch on PC on February 18, 2026, with console versions expected to follow in the subsequent months.
A haunting new trailer titled “The Prototype” offers a glimpse into uncharted locations and introduces the primary antagonist: Experiment 1006, better known as The Prototype. This sentient entity is the architect behind the nightmare at Playtime Co. According to the lore, it was The Prototype who orchestrated the “Hour of Joy,” a catastrophic event that resulted in the massacre of the facility’s staff and the subsequent takeover by living toys. Players venturing into the factory’s deepest reaches will also cross paths once more with the iconic Huggy Wuggy, who is believed to be the sole surviving minion under The Prototype’s command.
This final chapter promises to deliver “stomach-churning horrors,” deceptive allies, and intricate puzzles that leverage overhauled tools and gameplay mechanics.
