Mistress of the Night: Model Shows Nocturnal Cosplay from The Elder Scrolls Universe

Cosplayer Saint Hysteria brings Nocturnal to life — the Daedric Princess and Empress of Shadows who bestows mortals with their greatest boon: luck itself. She is particularly revered within the Thieves Guild.

Gamers familiar with The Elder Scrolls series will no doubt remember Nocturnal. She is a Daedric Princess known as the Empress of Shadows, Daughter of Dusk, Mistress of Night, and Lady of Secrets.

As a special treat for fans, photographer Elena Vesania released a series of images showing Saint Hysteria fully transformed into the character.

Nocturnal is typically portrayed as a woman draped in a striking mantle, often accompanied by two ravens perched on outstretched arms. In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, she appears during certain Thieves Guild quests.

Her current domain is the Evergloam. Nocturnal is credited with forging the Shadow Bow, an item that grants the wielder invisibility and a boost to movement speed. The bow was wielded by Dram in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard.

And in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, players can acquire her Skeleton Key — a lockpick that never breaks and provides a +40 bonus to the Lockpicking skill.
