Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, and ADÉLA feature in the New Music Friday guide

Billboard’s Friday Music Guide highlights essential New Music Friday releases. Last week featured Olivia Rodrigo, Alex Warren, JENNIE, and others. Releases for this week include Miley, Beyoncé, ADÉLA, and more.

Miley, “Bass Persuades”

Days after announcing her 10th studio album and first on Atlantic Records, Miley released its title track and lead single, “Bass Persuades.” The synthy dance-pop song features lyrics about kids not wanting to dance while demonstrating the opposite. Beyoncé, “CAN I WATCH YOU (feat. Pharrell)”

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of her second album, B’Day, Beyoncé released an expanded 27-track edition with previously unreleased bonus tracks, B-sides, Spanish-language versions, and “Morning Dew (Donk),” which was surprise dropped on July 4. Features on the new material include Jay-Z on “Welcome to Hollywood” and Pharrell on “Can I Watch You.” — L.H.

ADÉLA, PRIMA

Pop artist ADÉLA released her debut album, PRIMA, led by the focus single “Nicole Kidman.” Previous singles include “KGB,” “Red Bottoms,” and “Ain’t In LA,” which earned the Slovakia-born artist her first Billboard Hot 100 entry in August. Kyle Denis called PRIMA “one of the most concise, clear-eyed debut pop albums in recent memory.” — L.H.

Medium Build, “It’s Not Easy (Falling In Love)”

Medium Build released his new album, King Of Having Fun, following his 2024 album, Country. The artist stated to Billboard that the project was made after experiencing burnout, getting sober, taking medication, and changing his lifestyle. — L.H.

Ellie Goulding, “For You Entertainment”

“For Your Entertainment” appears on Ellie Goulding’s sixth album, I Know Too Much. Goulding released her debut single 17 years ago. — L.H.

Mau P, “Just A Little Bit More”

Mau P released his second track of 2026, “Just A Little Bit More,” via Interscope Records ahead of his performance at the ARC Music Festival in Chicago. — KATIE BAIN

Amelie Lens, Aura

Amelie Lens released her debut album, Aura, a decade after her first official release. The 13-track project includes the Angèle collaboration “run” and “the energy is us.” Lens stated that the album is a moment she has waited for throughout her career, preceding shows in Belgium, Washington D.C., Denver, and Los Angeles, as well as the expected winter birth of her second child. — K.B.

Malie Donn, The Golden Child

Malie Donn, named Billboard’s Caribbean Up-And-Comer of the Month for August, released his debut studio album, The Golden Child. The 20-track project features Byron Messia, Javo Donn, DJ Frass, and Squash. — KYLE DENIS
