Miley Cyrus Announces New Album ‘Bass Persuades’ and Hollywood Bowl Shows

Miley Cyrus announced her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, and two rare Hollywood Bowl shows on Tuesday (Sept. 1) after teasing a new musical era.

The pop star shared the news on Instagram, revealing the LP cover art and a Sept. 18 release date. The black-and-white artwork shows her from the shoulders up holding a rose in her mouth.

“Music takes hold of us,” she wrote in the caption. “We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.”

“Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between,” she continued. “That’s what the title means to me. Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.”

She also uploaded a video of herself playing electric guitar in a white jumpsuit alongside a gritty instrumental that likely appears on Bass Persuades.

Cyrus also announced a two-night run at the Hollywood Bowl in October to celebrate the project, noting she has not toured in years and rarely performs in large venues.

“It’s been a while,” she wrote, describing the Los Angeles venue as her favorite place to experience music and see her favorite artists.

“I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage,” she added. “LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.”

Tickets for the Oct. 16 and 18 shows begin with an American Express presale on Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. PT. Following an artist presale and Reserved by Spotify presale, remaining seats go on sale Sept. 10.

Cyrus released her previous album, Something Beautiful, in 2025, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Her 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation featured the Grammy-winning single “Flowers,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks.

The campaign began after a cryptic billboard and a social media post reading “Miley,” with fans noting she had removed “Cyrus” from her handle.

The rollout coincided with the death of the Hannah Montana star’s godmother, Dolly Parton. “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share,” Cyrus wrote. “I have an angel by my side. I always have.”
