Oscar-nominated actor Michael Fassbender has been cast in the upcoming series «Kennedy», according to Variety.
The project will stream on Netflix. Fassbender is set to play family patriarch Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. The series is adapted from Frederick Logevall’s biography «JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917–1956».
One of the directors attached to the show is Thomas Vinterberg (director of Another Round). Netflix has not yet announced a release date for «Kennedy». Fassbender’s recent work includes the spy thriller «Black Suitcase» and the series «The Agency».
