The final act for Megan Thee Stallion on the Great White Way is arriving sooner than originally planned.
On Monday (April 27), the chart-topping rapper shared an update via Instagram, confirming that her tenure in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical will conclude this Friday. Her residency, which featured her in the role of Zidler, was initially scheduled to continue through May 17.
“Hotties, my closing performance as Zidler is set for May 1,” Megan announced. Expressing her gratitude, she added, “It has been a profound privilege to be part of the Moulin Rouge family. I’ve encountered so many incredible people throughout this theater journey.”
She extended heartfelt thanks to the production’s cast and crew for their dedication, noting how their professionalism enriched the experience. She also took a moment to acknowledge the fans who flocked to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to support her debut.
“To every Hottie who made the effort to attend or had tickets booked—thank you for championing me during this amazing chapter. I love you all, and I’ll see you soon,” she concluded.
Megan’s milestone debut as the first woman to portray Zidler gained significant attention. Her decision to exit early follows a period of personal transition, marked by the public end of her relationship with Mavericks guard Klay Thompson. Last Saturday, the rapper revealed on social media that the split was prompted by allegations of infidelity.
In a formal statement provided to Billboard, she affirmed that the relationship had ended, emphasizing that trust and mutual respect remain non-negotiable standards for her. “I am choosing to dedicate this time to myself, focusing on moving forward with peace and clarity,” she stated.
