Medieval Horse Courier: The Legend of Khiimori Launches in Early Access Next Week
Following a slight postponement from its initial November 2025 target, the developers of The Legend of Khiimori have unveiled a new gameplay trailer and solidified their official premiere date.
The title is set to debut via Steam Early Access on March 3, 2026. Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are expected to follow at a later stage.
Often described as “SnowRunner on horseback,” the game has also drawn gameplay comparisons to Death Stranding. Swapping heavy machinery for equine companions, players are tasked with delivering vital cargo between 13th-century Mongolian settlements. The journey involves navigating treacherous deep snow and enduring bitter sub-zero temperatures, with a focus on exploration rather than human-to-human combat.
Players will manage a central hub featuring various horse breeds that can be selectively bred to suit specific routes. Some steeds are better adapted to extreme cold, while others are specialized for arid deserts or rugged mountain valleys. Weapons are strictly intended for hunting or deterring predatory wolf packs.
