Max Factory Opens Preorders for Berserk Guts and Griffith Figures

Max Factory has opened pre-orders for new static plastic figures of Guts and Griffith from Kentaro Miura’s manga Berserk, which are designed to take up minimal space on a desk or shelf and are scheduled for release in 2027.

Following Prime 1 Studio, Max Factory has also decided to delight fans of the Berserk manga by opening pre-orders for static plastic figures of Guts and Griffith.

Each collectible item costs 12,000 Japanese yen. Alternatively, a set containing both new items can be purchased for 24,000 Japanese yen. Griffith stands 23 cm tall including the base, while Guts measures 30 cm long with his sword.

Shipping for the figures is scheduled to begin in May 2027.

Guts is a stern, pragmatic mercenary who has been accustomed to surviving brutal battles since childhood, relying entirely on his massive sword and unyielding willpower. Griffith serves as his complete opposite: an ambitious, refined, and incredibly charismatic leader of the Band of the Hawk mercenaries who is obsessed with an unyielding dream to secure his own kingdom at any cost.

Their relationship evolves from a forced alliance into deep attachment, eventually turning into destructive hatred. Initially, Griffith forcibly takes Guts into his band after recognizing in him a rare individual capable of resisting his will and sharing his inner loneliness.

Over time, they become best friends and combat comrades. Guts genuinely admires his commander, and Griffith views him as the only person for whom he is capable of forgetting his grand goal. However, a tragic rift occurs when Guts decides to leave the band to seek his own path, which shatters Griffith’s perfect control, leads him to an emotional breakdown, and drives him to commit a monstrous betrayal.

During the Eclipse, Griffith sacrifices his comrades to attain divine power, forever transforming Guts into the revenge-obsessed “Black Swordsman”.
