Carrie-Anne Moss, best known for her iconic role in The Matrix, has signed on for a leading role in the upcoming Canadian drama series Yaga, according to Variety.
Moss will be joined by Hudson Williams, Noah Reid, and Clark Backo. The narrative follows a private investigator (Reid) who is drawn into a complex case involving the disappearance of a prominent heir to a commercial fishing empire (Williams).
In the series, Moss portrays Katherine, an enigmatic university professor with a scandalous preference for younger men. Yaga is slated to premiere on the streaming service Crave, the platform behind the hit hockey drama Shoresy.
Moss was most recently seen in the action-comedy Fubar alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, a project Netflix recently canceled following its second season.
