Disney+ and Marvel Studios have officially greenlit a second installment of “Wonder Man,” according to industry reports.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley are set to reprise their leading roles. The series, which debuted in January, centers on Hollywood actor Simon Williams as he navigates a world transformed by the sudden discovery of his superhuman abilities.
The project was co-created by Destin Daniel Cretton (director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Andrew Guest (writer for Community). The first season was a hit with critics, earning a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While excitement is building for the sophomore season, an official premiere date has not yet been established.
