Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Confirms August Release and New X-Men Roster Additions

Arc System Works has officially solidified the launch window for their highly anticipated Marvel tag-team fighter, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Set to debut on August 6, 2026, the game’s roster is expanding significantly with a heavy emphasis on several iconic mutants joining the fray.
Unveiled during the latest Sony State of Play presentation, the developer confirmed that the title will be available simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and PC. Beyond the date itself, the showcase highlighted three additional X-Men joining the starting lineup, bolstering the game’s superhero credentials.
Though Storm’s inclusion was previously established, the “Unbreakable X-Men” team is rounding out its ranks. Arc System Works announced that Wolverine, Magik, and Danger will join the weather-wielding mutant on the day-one roster.
Wolverine brings his signature ferocity and close-quarters brutality, reminiscent of his legendary outings in past Marvel brawlers. Magik leverages a combination of sweeping Soulsword strikes and tactical teleportation to control the stage. Rounding out the trio is Danger—the sentient manifestation of the X-Men’s training facility—whose transition into a playable android combatant is a creative and formidable addition to the series.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to arrive on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC.
