Marvel Studios unveiled another look at Avengers: Doomsday during Disney’s D23 fan convention. The footage matches the preview screened for San Diego Comic-Con attendees in Hall H, giving the wider public its first clear view of the upcoming film.

The two-minute trailer focuses on Fantastic Four members Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) as they separately grasp the threat posed by Doctor Doom. Heroes including Ant-Man, Captain America, and Thor embrace their loved ones while Doom tells them that they are living “stolen lives.” The footage also expands on a clash between Thor and Doom, showing the Latverian ruler swatting away the God of Thunder before reanimating a broken squad of Sentinels.

Avengers: Doomsday follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they’re set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.

Marvel Studios is looking to recapture the box office reach of Avengers: Endgame after several modest theatrical runs. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo return to helm the ensemble project, which unites figures from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Fox era of X-Men movies.

Robert Downey Jr. leads the cast as Doctor Doom. The ensemble also features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as White Widow, Kelsey Grammer as the Beast, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on Dec. 18. Marvel is already developing a direct follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, planned for 2027.
