Marvel reveals its plans through 2042
Marvel Studios is already mapping out the evolution of its cinematic universe with a long-range vision extending to 2042. Studio head Kevin Feige confirmed these ambitious plans, noting that while these are merely preliminary blueprints, they remain subject to ongoing adjustments.
According to the producer, a primary objective for Marvel in the coming years is to refine the franchise’s accessibility, making it easier for new fans to engage with the series. Following a period of aggressive expansion, the studio intends to pivot toward a more streamlined and focused narrative trajectory.
Feige emphasized that the X-Men will play a pivotal role in the future of the MCU. Following the debut of Avengers: Doomsday, mutants are set to become a cornerstone of the reinvigorated cinematic landscape.
Furthermore, the Marvel executive expressed a long-term desire to introduce a new Spider-Man to live-action: Miles Morales, the beloved protagonist from the comic books and the critically acclaimed Spider-Verse animated features.
