Iconic Star Wars actor Mark Hamill is set to join the cast for the third season of the hit series Twisted Metal, as recently reported by Deadline.
Hamill will step into the role of Charlie Kane, the formidable leader of the East Sovereign faction rising from the ashes of New York City. In the show’s narrative, Kane is the father of the series’ most notorious antagonist, the deranged killer clown Sweet Tooth, portrayed by Joe Seanoa.
Twisted Metal is a television adaptation based on the classic PlayStation video game franchise. Following its debut on Peacock in 2023, the show returned for a second season in 2025. The story follows a courier named John Doe, played by Anthony Mackie, as he fights to survive in a perilous post-apocalyptic wasteland swarming with bloodthirsty marauders.
The series was developed by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Michael Jonathan Smith serving as the showrunner. Recently, Hamill has appeared in the dystopian film The Long Walk and the drama The Life of Chuck.
