The search for the actors to portray young paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in the upcoming The Conjuring prequel has concluded.
Garrett Wareing (The Long Walk) and Amanda Fix (Orphan Black: Echoes) have been tapped to lead the new installment. Subtitled First Communion, the film will chronicle the couple’s initial meeting and their inaugural encounter with malevolent forces.
First Communion is slated for a U.S. theatrical release on September 10, 2027. The flagship The Conjuring series debuted in 2013 and has since expanded to include spin-offs such as Annabelle and The Nun.
