“Love Story” star to appear in “Maid” sequel
Actor Paul Anthony Kelly has officially joined the ensemble cast for the sequel to The Housemaid, according to recent industry reports.
Specific details regarding his character remain under wraps. He joins a star-studded lineup that includes Sydney Sweeney and Kirsten Dunst, with Paul Feig returning to the director’s chair. Lionsgate has slated the film for an international theatrical release on December 17, 2027, with production scheduled to commence this autumn.
The Housemaid 2 is based on the novel The Housemaid’s Secret by Freida McFadden. The plot follows the protagonist, Millie (Sweeney), who begins working for the enigmatic Mrs. Garrick (Dunst), only to uncover the harrowing secrets hidden within her employer’s home. The original film, released in late 2025, proved to be a major success, grossing $400 million at the global box office.
Kelly recently made his breakthrough performance in the FX and Hulu limited series Love Story, where he portrayed John F. Kennedy Jr. The Housemaid 2 will mark the actor’s feature film debut. Additionally, fans can expect to see him appearing in the upcoming season of American Horror Story later this year.
