Lily Allen Extends Comeback with ‘West End Girl’ Arena Dates — Here’s Where She’ll Play

Lily Allen has expanded her West End Girl campaign with a new string of arena performances across the U.K. and Ireland. The arena shows join the previously announced theater dates scheduled for March, turning the current tour into the biggest headlining outing of her career.

The arena portion of the tour begins in June at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena and will include stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and London before wrapping with a night at Dublin’s 3Arena on June 30.

The concerts, billed as “Lily Allen Performs West End Girl,” will present the singer’s new album performed from start to finish. Released on Oct. 24, West End Girl reached No. 2 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart — Allen’s strongest chart showing since 2014’s Sheezus. Before the arena dates, she is also scheduled to headline Mighty Hoopla in London’s Brockwell Park on May 30.

West End Girl has garnered attention for its candid, autobiographical approach. In interviews preceding the album, Allen described the record as a form of autofiction: inspired by episodes from her marriage while not presenting every line as literal fact. Allen and actor David Harbour were married in Las Vegas in 2020 after meeting the year prior.

West End Girl is Allen’s first full-length album since 2018’s No Shame and her fifth studio release overall. Her career began with Alright, Still (2006), which reached No. 2 on the U.K. albums chart, followed by the chart-topping It’s Not Me, It’s You (2009).

Allen is also scheduled to return to Saturday Night Live as the musical guest on Dec. 13, marking her first appearance on the program since 2007; actor Josh O’Connor is set to host that episode.
