Liam Hemsworth Exceeds Co‑Stars’ Expectations as Geralt in The Witcher
While many criticized Liam Hemsworth for stepping in for Henry Cavill as Geralt, the cast and crew have spoken of him only in glowing terms. They say he arrived on set thoroughly prepared, full of energy, and completely aligned with the spirit of the character.
Laurence Fishburne, who portrays Regis, noted in an interview:
“Liam has superbly captured Geralt of Rivia. He brought the role depth, a sharp sense of humour, humanity, and intelligence. I think audiences will warm to him.”
Joey Batey, who plays Jaskier, added:
“He injected an incredible energy into the production. He’s tireless — training, preparing, studying every detail — and arrived fully ready. He truly understands his craft.”
Series showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has previously said she immediately recognized Hemsworth as the perfect choice.
Colleagues emphasize that his interpretation of the character blends naturalness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the world of The Witcher.
