While the origin of the rumors remains unclear, unsubstantiated claims circulated on X (formerly Twitter) suggesting that Brown had posted private correspondence between herself and Thompson. The gossip surfaced just one day after Megan Thee Stallion leveled serious allegations against the Dallas Mavericks player. The rapper shared a blunt message on social media, writing, “Cheating, making me play house with your family… and then you get ‘cold feet.’”

Beyond allegations of infidelity, the hip-hop artist also described a volatile environment, citing “horrible mood swings and mistreatment” throughout his recent basketball season. She further questioned his integrity, adding, “Now you’re suddenly unsure if you can remain ‘monogamous’?”

In a formal statement provided to Billboard, Megan confirmed the end of their relationship. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable standards for me. Once those foundations are compromised, there is no viable path forward,” she noted.

After beginning their relationship in the summer of 2025, the pair frequently shared glimpses of their life together, including collaborative workout videos.
