Ever since Lego DC Super-Villains debuted in late 2018, the Dark Knight’s brick-built adventures have remained largely in the shadows. That silence is finally coming to an end with Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. As one of the most highly anticipated titles of 2026, the wait has felt substantial, but fans just received some refreshing news: the crusade begins sooner than expected. WB Games has confirmed via a new teaser that the release date has been moved up by a full week, with the game now slated to launch on May 22.
This scheduling shift also benefits those who invested in the premium version of the game. The Deluxe Edition not only includes a comprehensive suite of digital content but also provides 72-hour early access, allowing players to patrol Gotham starting May 19. This edition features the Legacy Collection—a launch-day DLC offering three distinct costume packs for all seven playable protagonists—and the Mayhem Collection, which introduces specialized levels centered around the antics of The Joker and Harley Quinn.

Legacy of the Dark Knight represents a significant evolution for the franchise, blending the classic Lego charm with the sophisticated DNA of the acclaimed Arkham series. Players can look forward to a revamped combat system, a sprawling open world, and adjustable difficulty tiers designed to challenge veteran gamers. The narrative serves as a celebratory retrospective of Batman’s history, incorporating iconic moments from Rocksteady’s titles alongside references to beloved cinematic and animated iterations.
The Caped Crusader isn’t the only one arriving early this season; Capcom recently shared a similar update, announcing that Pragmata has also moved its launch forward by one week.
