Renowned actress and television personality Larisa Guzeeva is set to voice her animated counterpart in a special episode of the “Prostokvashino” series. Titled “A Rural Romance” — a playful nod to her iconic film “A Cruel Romance” — the installment is scheduled to premiere on the Okko streaming platform on March 7.
The plot follows Guzeeva as she unexpectedly arrives in the legendary village and begins contemplating a real estate purchase. Her presence quickly catches the eye of Postman Pechkin, who finds himself completely smitten with the guest.
“This series is a domestic treasure; a world where everything is genuine. I hope children continue to embrace its kindness, while we adults can feel like children again for a moment. With March 8th approaching, there is no better time for such heartwarming emotions,” Guzeeva shared in a recent press release.
This special follows the theatrical release of Sarik Andreasyan’s live-action adaptation of “Prostokvashino,” which proved to be a major commercial success, grossing 2.4 billion rubles at the box office.
