Konami parodies Hideo Kojima’s game in the new Darwin’s Paradox!
Darwin’s Paradox!, the cephalopod-led adventure, has introduced a satirical spy-themed stealth mode ahead of its official debut.
Published by Konami, this 2.5D platformer features several “tactical espionage” stages that serve as a direct homage to Hideo Kojima’s legendary Metal Gear series. The octopus protagonist utilizes signature cardboard boxes for concealment and communicates via a codec-inspired interface. The experience is further enriched by cinematic sequences and mechs that vividly evoke the aesthetic of the original PlayStation classic.
The parody segment begins at the 3:25 mark in the gameplay showcase below.
A playable demo is currently available on Steam. Darwin’s Paradox! is slated for a full release on consoles and PC on April 2, 2026.
