Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC Features Overview

Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown launches on October 29 GMT/PT. A new Features Overview video previews some of the adventures the DLC adds to Pywel. After the video, the list below explains what you need to finish before each feature becomes available.
Content overview and prerequisites
Several Charting the Unknown features unlock only after you meet certain conditions.
- New stories: Charting the Unknown adds three storylines, one each for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. Once you finish the main story, you can start them from the Journal menu. A separate ocean-focused storyline opens after you complete “Howling Hill” in the main story.
- Exploring the ocean: Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane can dive into the sea and explore the underwater world of Pywel. Below the surface are ruins, treasure chests, and new creatures and mounts. Diving has no special requirements, but staying underwater uses up breath. Items or gear such as a diving suit can extend your time below.
- Building a ship: Once you set up your Greymane Camp at Howling Hill, a related questline becomes available. Complete it and you can build your own ship and sail the Great Ocean of Pywel. You can get a ship by sending comrades on a ship-building dispatch mission at a port, or by buying one from a Fleet Office manager.
- Romance and festivals: Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane can form deeper bonds with some of Pywel’s inhabitants. Interacting with them builds trust and may eventually lead to romance and even marriage. Once your Greymane Camp reaches a certain upgrade level, friends you have grown close to may visit and spend time there.
- Upgraded housing: The new housing system lets you build your house from the ground up. You get access to both the regular and upgraded systems after setting up your camp at Howling Hill and completing Luke’s Request, part of the “Grounds of the Sunrise” Greymanes Faction quest.
- Greymane castles: Three castles can be claimed. Complete the main story and the relevant quests, then liberate each stronghold to unlock a mission to take it as your own. Once a castle is yours, you can decorate its courtyards and interiors with objects and furnishings.
- Management: You can rent and run businesses, from a restaurant in Vellua to a smithy at Zargan Tankworks. These facilities are reachable from the world map. To use one, finish the faction quest that liberates its region and complete the setup of your Greymane Camp.
- Garden of Trials: This new combat mode has you fight bosses from your Pywel adventures, one after another. It opens after you clear the main questline, and finishing it earns special rewards.
More details will appear in the patch notes on release day.
