Crimson Desert Expansion Release Canceled in Multiple Regions

The decision was made following an analysis of the Charting the Unknown content.

Developer Pearl Abyss is currently working on the Charting the Unknown expansion for Crimson Desert Enhanced. As it turns out, the add-on will not be available in all regions where the base game was released.

The developers announced that they decided to cancel pre-orders for Charting the Unknown in several regions. A full list of the affected regions has not been specified yet, but it is already known that the DLC will not be released in the United Arab Emirates.

In their statement, the creators of Crimson Desert Enhanced indicated that this decision was made after analyzing the content and age rating regulations:

Pre-orders in certain regions will be closed. Depending on the platform, refunds will either be issued automatically or will require you to submit a request through the standard refund procedure on your platform. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The release of the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion is scheduled for October 16 of this year. Players will explore new areas and take control of a ship.

The DLC description also noted: “Interact with the residents of Pywel, learn their stories, and strengthen your relationships” — players suspect that potential romance content may be the reason for the cancellation of the DLC release in several regions.
