This update is much smaller in scope, but it fixes several significant issues.

In August, studio Pearl Abyss rolled out a major update for Crimson Desert featuring various improvements and a reworked story. To celebrate the occasion, the game was renamed Crimson Desert Enhanced.

The developers reviewed player feedback and have now followed up with a small patch, version 2.00.01. This is a purely technical update that does not add new content, as it is designed to resolve a series of technical problems.

The creators of Crimson Desert stated that they fixed a bug encountered by users on certain versions of macOS, and the game should now launch correctly. In addition, they fixed “some” game cutscenes and an issue with frame rate drops.

Here is the list of changes in patch 2.00.01 for Crimson Desert Enhanced:

  • Fixed a bug where some text was displayed incorrectly when the game language was set to Arabic.
  • Partially resolved an issue with the desynchronization of character lip movements and voice acting in certain cutscenes.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the frame rate to drop in specific situations.
  • [Steam Mac] Fixed a bug that prevented the game from launching on certain versions of macOS.

The developers recently warned that they will slow down the release pace of updates for Crimson Desert Enhanced. An expansion is currently in the works for the game, but the Pearl Abyss team has not yet disclosed any details.
