“Kommersant” featuring Alexander Petrov released online
The drama The Businessman (Kommersant) has officially made its digital debut on Russian streaming platforms, and you can watch it here.
Alexander Petrov takes the lead in this gripping prison drama, which is adapted from Andrei Rubanov’s novel Plant Them, and They Will Grow. Set against the backdrop of 1996, the story follows Andrei, a successful young banker whose life takes a dark turn after a disastrous business deal leads to his incarceration in the infamous Matrosskaya Tishina prison. Behind bars, he must navigate a brutal environment while fighting to maintain his moral integrity.
The film features an ensemble cast, including rapper Husky, Elizaveta Bazykina, and Mikhail Troynik. Directed by brothers Fyodor and Nikita Kravchuk, the project proved to be a commercial success, grossing over 460 million rubles during its theatrical run.
