Kojima Productions Offers Real Exoskeleton from Death Stranding 2 for Sale
This fully functional device was developed in partnership with Dnsys.
Kojima Productions, together with exoskeleton manufacturer Dnsys, has revealed a limited edition Dnsys Z1 Exoskeleton Pro — DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH Limited Edition. More than simple merchandise, it’s a fully operational exoskeleton that will be available to buy and wear as early as December 2025.
The exoskeleton replicates the game’s capabilities:
- Boosts step power by 50% for greater mobility across difficult terrain.
- Extends travel range by 15.5 miles (about 25 km) and vertical climb capacity by 9.3 miles (about 15 km).
- Offloads up to 200% of the user’s body weight from the knees — effectively making climbs feel up to 20 kg (44 lb) lighter.
- AI-driven gait control for uneven ground, staircases, and slopes.
- Over four hours of operation with quick-swap battery packs.
- Weight per leg: just 680 g; constructed from aluminum and titanium alloys and carbon fiber. Motor output: 900 W.
Sales begin on December 2 via the Dnsys website. The price has not been disclosed yet, though the standard Z1 Dual Joint Pro typically retails for about $2,298.
