Kingdom Hearts IV Trailer Reveals Sora Traveling to Coco World

Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV at D23, confirming a release window in late 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The footage confirms that a world based on the Pixar animated film Coco will appear in the game. The release window is slated for late 2027.

Sora finds himself in the Land of the Dead, where he meets Miguel and Hector. The hero wields a Coco-themed Keyblade and battles Heartless on the colorful streets of the afterlife city. Meanwhile, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy continue searching for a way to bring Sora back from Quadratum. They turn to Hades, known from the Disney animated film Hercules, for help.

Kingdom Hearts IV will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Square Enix has not yet announced an exact release date.
