Kesha is living her best life following her reported split from Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records.
Days after Variety reported that the pop star had cut business ties with the producer’s label in the aftermath of the pair’s nearly decade-long legal battle, Kesha posted a video to TikTok showing her enjoying a sunny day at the beach.
“I haven’t felt this free since I was 18,” she wrote in white text over the clip, in which she sets up her camera before turning around and running toward the waves.
The “Praying” artist also recently shared a NSFW photo on Instagram of her exploring a gorgeous canyon, which she captioned, “Coming back home to me.”
The posts come days after Variety‘s Dec. 18 report of Kesha’s split from Kemosabe and confirming her departure from Vector Management. Seven months prior, she released her last contractual album with the label, May’s Gag Order, soon after which she settled her lawsuit with Dr. Luke.
Kesha has alleged for years that the producer drugged and raped her in 2005 when she was about 18 years old. Dr. Luke has emphatically denied her claims and went on to sue the singer for defamation, ultimately settling in June.
Throughout the legal battle, Kesha continued to fulfill her contract with Kemosabe — although she kept her distance from Dr. Luke and was vocal about wanting to be released from the deal. In total, she released five albums and three EPs with the RCA Records imprint.
