Katy Perry brought some serious star power to the Tribeca Festival on Monday, June 8, appearing alongside Justin Trudeau at the world premiere of her concert documentary, The Lifetimes Tour.

During a candid Q&A session, footage of which was shared by USA Today, the pop icon spoke openly about her relationship with the former Canadian prime minister and the profound impact he has had on her life while navigating the pressures of international touring. “I am truly in love,” she declared, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience at the OKX Theater.

Describing Trudeau as “the love of my life,” Perry shared that their partnership provides a vital sense of stability. “I tend to fly at such a high frequency,” she explained. “Having that anchor in my life has made me feel genuinely whole again.”

Prior to this, Perry was in a long-term relationship with Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares her daughter, Daisy Dove. In a statement released to Billboard roughly two months after the start of her 2025 tour, representatives for the couple confirmed their separation after nine years together, emphasizing their ongoing commitment to co-parenting.

The public first caught wind of the new romance a month later, when Trudeau was spotted at Perry’s Montreal concert looking visibly moved as she performed her anthem, “Firework.” Following months of speculation and growing public appearances, the Tribeca premiere officially served as their red-carpet debut as a couple.

The concert film highlights the artistry behind her 2024 studio album, 143, which reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
