According to reporting from The Athletic, a powerhouse roster—including Katy Perry, Future, Tyla, LISA, and Anitta—is confirmed to headline the opening ceremonies across the host nations of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Katy Perry is set to anchor the Los Angeles ceremony ahead of the U.S. men’s national team’s tournament opener against Paraguay on June 12. Joining her at SoFi Stadium, Future will deliver a high-energy performance, supported by DJ Sanjoy.
Meanwhile, in Toronto, the Canadian festivities on June 12 will feature a star-studded triple bill with Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, and Alanis Morissette taking center stage.
Additional Canadian acts highlighted by The Athletic, such as Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, and William Prince, are also slated to contribute to the event’s celebrations.
As the tournament kicks off in Mexico on June 11 at Azteca Stadium, fans can expect a vibrant pre-match show featuring performances by the legendary rock band Maná, alongside Tyla and Los Ángeles Azules.
The global celebration extends even further, with international artists including J Balvin, Danny Ocean, Elyanna, and Marilina Bogado expected to join the performance circuit.
FIFA has not yet unveiled the entertainment lineup for the World Cup Final halftime show, scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
Furthermore, the official FIFA World Cup soundtrack is taking shape. Shakira has already teased a rhythmic blend of reggaetón and Afrobeats with Burna Boy, titled “Dai Dai,” which is slated for release alongside a music video on May 14.
Billboard has reached out to representatives for Future, LISA, Katy Perry, Michael Bublé, and FIFA for further comment.
