KATSEYE Pulls Out of Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival Following Megan’s Ankle Injury

Just days before taking the stage at Olivia Rodrigo’s highly anticipated Daisy Chain Fields festival, multinational girl group KATSEYE announced their withdrawal from the lineup after member Megan sustained a sprained ankle during tour rehearsals.

The ensemble conveyed the unfortunate update directly to fans via an Instagram Story, expressing deep remorse over their abrupt absence from the weekend festivities.

“We are deeply saddened to share that we will no longer be able to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday,” the statement began. “Megan suffered an ankle sprain during tour preparations yesterday. Following medical evaluations, physicians advised strict rest to guarantee proper recovery in advance of our upcoming tour dates. We understand how much our community anticipated this appearance, and breaking this news to those who arranged to see us is truly heartbreaking.”

The group also reaffirmed their enthusiasm for the festival’s charitable mission, praising Rodrigo’s collaborative initiative: “Daisy Chain Fields represents something greater than live music—it is an inspiring showcase of joy, unity, and empowerment. We extend all our admiration to Olivia, the remarkable roster of performers, charitable partners, and dedicated volunteers bringing this vision to life.”

Staged in Irvine, California, the debut edition of Daisy Chain Fields features an exclusively female lineup curated by Rodrigo herself. Alongside Rodrigo’s headlining set, the festival boasts performances by Chappell Roan, Doechii, Rachel Chinouriri, The Breeders, and Garbage, alongside guest appearances by rock and alternative icons Stevie Nicks, Karen O, and Sarah McLachlan. All event proceeds are directed toward organizations dedicated to women’s rights and reproductive health, including the Center for Reproductive Rights and Planned Parenthood.

This physical setback represents the latest challenge in a complex year for KATSEYE. Earlier in February, HYBE revealed that member Manon would step away temporarily to prioritize mental well-being. By early August, fellow bandmate Sophia also announced a personal health hiatus, leaving active performance duties to Lara, Daniela, Yoonchae, and Megan.

Following KATSEYE’s exit, emerging alt-pop singer-songwriter Devon Again was officially added to the festival roster. Event organizers confirmed the roster adjustment online, sharing their support: “Megan is currently rehabilitating a sprained ankle, preventing the group from appearing this weekend. We send our warmest wishes for her rapid and smooth recovery!”
