The organizers of the 83rd Venice Film Festival have officially announced the members of the main competition jury.
Joining Maggie Gyllenhaal, who was named jury president back in April, are a distinguished group of filmmakers including Kaouther Ben Hania, Xavier Giannoli, Johnnie To, and Shahrbanoo Sadat. They will be accompanied by composer Daniel Blumberg and Francesco Casetti, a renowned professor of humanities and film and media studies at Yale University.
The 83rd Venice Film Festival is scheduled to take place from September 2 to September 12.
