Journalist Gave Escape from Tarkov a “1” — Nikita Buyanov Apologized to Players
The full-release build of EFT 1.0 left many players underwhelmed.
Escape from Tarkov’s full release arrived in November, and reviews from various outlets began to circulate online. The developers read those pieces and have responded to some of them.
Recently, the head of Battlestate Games drew attention to an article from Gamescreed. The reviewer awarded the game a one-star rating — 1 out of 5:
Escape from Tarkov shows clear changes compared to earlier builds. Still, the game lacks sufficient rewards for player achievements to draw in and retain a broader audience.
Among the faults listed in the review were claims that “the maps are too large for what the game offers,” that movement is “still very slow,” and that joining a match can take a long time — “sometimes you have to wait several minutes to get in.”
