Joe Wright to Direct Adaptation of Climate Catastrophe Novel

Joe Wright, known for his work on “Pride & Prejudice” and “Anna Karenina,” is set to direct the film adaptation of “Juice,” a gripping sci-fi novel by Australian author Tim Winton.

The screenplay will be penned by Abi Morgan, the writer behind “Shame.” The story unfolds in a world devastated by an environmental catastrophe. It follows a young father who joins an underground resistance movement dedicated to targeting the wealthy elites accountable for the planetary collapse; however, after a mission goes awry, he is forced to become a fugitive.

Wright describes the novel as both a poignant family saga and an urgent call to action.
