Jessica Alba to Star in 13 Going on 30 Remake
Actress Jessica Alba, known for her roles in Fantastic Four and Sin City, has officially joined the cast of the upcoming 13 Going on 30 romantic comedy reboot. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix.
She joins a talented ensemble that includes Emily Bader (Holidate), Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson), and Adeline Rudolph (Mortal Kombat). The project is being helmed by director Brett Haley, who previously worked on Holidate. Notably, Jennifer Garner, the star of the beloved 2004 original, is serving as one of the film’s producers.
The premise of 13 Going on 30 centers on a young girl who desperately wishes to be an adult, only to have her dream magically granted as she suddenly awakens as a 30-year-old woman. The original cult classic also starred Mark Ruffalo alongside Garner.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, fans can look forward to seeing Alba in the upcoming Maserati brothers biopic as well as Dakota Johnson’s directorial debut, A Tree is Blue.
