Jenna Ortega to Leave Television After “Wednesday”
Actress Jenna Ortega has revealed that she plans to take a break from television once “Wednesday” comes to an end.
I think that after “Wednesday” I’ll most likely step away from TV for a while. It has taken up so many years of my life. As a kid, I bounced from one show to the next, and I want to leave room for something new,
— Ortega admitted on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
She did not clarify whether she would leave after the third season of “Wednesday” or after the series wraps up entirely. The new episodes are expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
Early in her career, Ortega appeared in series such as “Stuck in the Middle,” “Jane the Virgin,” “You,” and others. This week, her new film “Klara and the Sun,” directed by Taika Waititi, opened in international theaters. Critics have already panned the adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, which holds a 24% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
