Jason Kelce Reveals What His Daughters Called Taylor Swift When They First Met Her

It took Taylor Swift some time for her nieces to see her as Aunt Taylor instead of Taylor Swift.

Travis Kelce recalled on the latest episode of New Heights published Wednesday (Sept. 16) that the family had to break the habit Jason Kelce’s daughters had of calling the pop star by her full name. When they met Aunt Tay Tay, they called her Taylor Swift, Travis said, and he thought it was adorable.

Jason remembered his girls asking questions by using her full name, to which he would remind them that they could call her Taylor.

The topic came up while the brothers and podcast co-hosts discussed Tom Cruise attending the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Denver Broncos on Monday (Sept. 14). While Travis played on the field, Cruise sat next to Swift in a box suite at Arrowhead Stadium.

Jason said of Swift and Cruise that when someone reaches that level of fame, people just call them by their full name.

Jason shares four daughters with Kylie Kelce: Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett and Finn. When Swift appeared on New Heights last year, she shared that she loves baking with her nieces, adding that they love sprinkles and put them in everything when they hang out.

The day Swift recorded that podcast episode, Travis proposed to the 14-time Grammy winner. They married over Fourth of July weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York City with a reported 1,000 guests in attendance, and Jason served as his brother’s best man.

Travis said on the Sept. 2 episode of New Heights that the wedding was magical and that they wanted an intimate and genuine setting without many distractions, noting that Madison Square Garden went above and beyond to provide a private feel.
