India’s Take on the Spider-Verse Arrives in 2027

As he journeys across multiple planes of existence, he forms unexpected alliances, faces divine adversaries and attempts to restore equilibrium to the cosmos. Ramya Krishna returns to voice Sivagami, reprising her role from the live‑action features.

Production notes confirm that Telugu star Prabhas is back to voice Amarendra Baahubali. The screenplay was written by Scott Mosier — who transitioned from producing for Kevin Smith to directing big‑budget animated work — and Shukla has collaborated with several studios worldwide, including Mihira Visual Labs (India), Aniventure (U.K.), Zaratan (Scotland) and Alcyde (France), to realize the film’s visual ambitions.

Rajamouli described the animated project as a natural expansion of the Baahubali universe, one intended to excite long‑standing fans while drawing in new viewers. The creators have planned this adventure as a two‑part release; according to the trailer, the first instalment is slated to arrive in 2027.
