Iconic mutants to return in X-Men ’97 season three
At Comic-Con 2026, Marvel unveiled fresh details regarding the third season of the acclaimed animated series “X-Men ’97.” The creative team confirmed that several legendary antagonists from the mutants’ storied history are set to make a dramatic comeback.
The upcoming episodes will feature the return of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants—a notorious squad of adversaries including Toad, Blob, Pyro, and Avalanche. These iconic figures cemented their status as some of the most memorable foes during the original 1990s animated run.
Producers also announced that production for the new season has officially wrapped, with the premiere slated for 2027 on Disney+.
