Hugh Laurie to Star in John le Carré Adaptation

Hugh Laurie, renowned for his iconic role in House M.D., has officially joined the cast of the upcoming limited series The Legacy of Spies. The project is a television adaptation of the acclaimed novel by master spy novelist John le Carré, best known for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

While specific details regarding Laurie’s character remain under wraps, he joins a star-studded ensemble including Matthew Macfadyen, Charlie Hunnam, Dan Stevens, and Daniel Brühl. The narrative centers on the legendary British intelligence officer George Smiley, as he embarks on a mission to track down a elusive Soviet operative named Karla.
