How to Get Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2

Securing titanium ingots in Subnautica 2 marks your first real foray into the game’s hands-off approach to exploration, requiring you to hunt down essential blueprints without a waypoint to guide you. While it might feel like you are fumbling in the dark, the machinery necessary to synthesize these ingots is likely closer than you think.

Below, we outline how to acquire titanium ingots in Subnautica 2 and pinpoint the exact locations of the processor blueprints you need to get started.

Securing the Processor Blueprint

The processor is the specialized fabricator required to create titanium ingots, and there are only a few locations where you can scan its blueprint. The most accessible location is near Wander’s Blackbox—likely where you previously discovered the sonic resonator blueprint—nestled within a large section of the Cicada shipwreck. Travel east from the coral dome above Wander’s Blackbox until you reach the edge of the shelf where the seafloor drops off into the deep. Roughly 265 meters southwest of your Lifepod, you will find an abandoned habitat; use this to refresh your oxygen and scavenge for lore. The shipwreck fragments are located just across from this base.

Once inside the wreck, you can scan several valuable items, including a high-capacity air tank blueprint. Locate the processor at the back of the module and scan it to add the technology to your fabrication menu.

A second processor exists in an abandoned habitat situated near the Alien Ruins. This is a considerable distance to the east of your Lifepod, requiring travel past the Tadpole Pens and across a treacherous stretch of deep ocean. While you will likely secure the processor at the Cicada wreck long before you venture this far, it serves as a reliable backup for those who prefer wandering off the beaten path early on.

Manufacturing Titanium Ingots

Before you can craft your first ingot, you must construct the processor itself. This requires the following materials:

  • 1 Copper Wire
  • 1 Mild Acid
  • 2 Titanium

Keep in mind that the processor consumes 10 energy per second, so ensure your base is equipped with enough solar panels to support the power load.

Once your processor is operational, interact with the interface on the left side to select the titanium ingot recipe. Each ingot requires three pieces of raw titanium. After a brief 30-second fabrication cycle, simply collect your finished product from the slot on the right side of the machine.

With the ability to produce ingots, you can now move on to crafting advanced gear like the sonic resonator and upgraded air tanks. You will also unlock the capacity to build a bioreactor, which utilizes organic matter like fiber pulp and small fish to provide a steady power source, even at night. Be sure to maintain a healthy reserve of titanium in your storage lockers; you will quickly find that your stockpile vanishes as you expand your base and pursue more complex blueprints.
