Physical Edition of Phantom Blade Zero Appears Unlikely for PS5
Phantom Blade Zero may launch on PS5 without a physical release. Retailer Play-Asia has informed a customer that the game’s boxed version will not be released.
Phantom Blade Zero ranks as one of the most anticipated games of the year among PlayStation fans, with its PS5 release scheduled for late October. Currently, only the digital version is available to preorder, although hope for a disc release recently emerged when Play-Asia added a physical PS5 edition to its catalog.
The retailer has now removed the product from sale. In response to an inquiry from a gamer, a Play-Asia representative stated:
The item has been removed from our catalog as we have received information that the physical edition is not available.
The store apologized and noted that it understands players’ interest in the boxed version.

No official confirmation has been provided by S-GAME or PlayStation yet, so it is too early to draw final conclusions. If Play-Asia’s information proves correct, Phantom Blade Zero will be available exclusively in digital format on PS5 at launch. It remains possible that a physical edition could be released at a later date.
