How Dance Up-and-Comer Riordon Turned Influencer Marketing Into a Thriving DJ Career

The turning point in Riordon’s musical trajectory arrived unexpectedly in 2023 through a direct message rather than an industry executive. The proposition was an invitation to headline a high-profile weekend residency in Indio during Coachella, completely bypassing traditional management channels.
“An affluent entrepreneur reached out out of the blue on TikTok,” Riordon explains. “He mentioned hosting an extravagant afterparty compound every festival season and offered to fly me stateside to handle the decks all weekend.”
At the time, the British producer was completely untested on the international circuit. “I hadn’t even published a complete live set online,” he recalls. “He simply respected the relentless work ethic and raw creative potential he saw on my socials.”
Despite his family’s initial hesitation regarding an overseas gig arranged by an anonymous digital avatar, the 19-year-old took the gamble. Within days, he found himself performing in the Southern California desert before high-profile figures including Wiz Khalifa and Logan Paul, proving that his multifaceted content creation strategy was cutting through the digital noise.
By 2025, Riordon transitioned from the periphery to the official festival roster, igniting the Do LaB stage before taking over the renowned Yuma Tent the following year. Marking his presence along the desert highway, he even unveiled an eye-catching billboard cheekily declaring: “Pronounced Riordon, Not Riordon”—a playful clarification that his moniker rhymes with Jordan.
His rapid evolution includes joining Darkroom Records—the influential home of Billie Eilish and John Summit—scoring a Beatport chart-topper, and debuting a high-energy Boiler Room performance alongside the drop of “Friction,” a driving house and UK garage fusion made in collaboration with London’s Locky.

Hailing from the English South Coast, performance was ingrained in him from an early age through theatrical stage tours such as Oliver!. While classical dramatic arts were his original ambition, global lockdowns pivoted his creative focus entirely toward dance music—sparked by memories of dropping MK’s classic “Burning” at house parties and witnessing the room erupt.
“Acting became virtually impossible to advance during isolation, whereas music production gave me full autonomy to construct a career right from my bedroom,” he notes.
Parallel to producing, he worked at a digital agency orchestrating TikTok campaigns for record labels. This dual role offered invaluable insight into viral mechanics, audience retention, and music discovery algorithms. Balancing digital marketing by day and studio mastering by night, he laid the groundwork for his eventual breakthrough.
By early 2022, he committed entirely to production. Pivoting away from lighthearted Latin house toward deeper tech house grooves, his persistence materialized into major milestones: an influential manager, a debut run at Miami Music Week, and a life-changing release. In late 2023, Gorgon City’s Realm Records picked up “Needle on the Record,” propelling it to the absolute No. 1 spot on Beatport’s overall charts.
The Emergence of a Modern Electronic Force
Following that milestone, Riordon’s momentum grew exponential. He joined Gorgon City on stage at London’s cavernous Drumsheds, mounted extensive cross-continental tours, and achieved a monumental milestone by selling out New York’s Knockdown Center.
With an eye on headlining major festival mainstages like the Sahara Tent, his calendar remains packed with performances spanning Ibiza’s DC10 for Solid Grooves, the prestigious Reading Festival, and Creamfields, alongside international club runs spanning North America and Oceania.
Even amid his rapid ascent, family remains central to his journey. Raised by parents with roots in the original UK rave culture, his father frequently attends major festival sets such as Lollapalooza, while his mother joins him annually in the Balearics.

The Next Chapter
Looking ahead, Riordon is prioritizing the development of a fully immersive live concept, incorporating custom visual architecture and expansive lighting frameworks to elevate his stage identity beyond traditional DJ sets.
Rather than rushing into a full-length album, his focus remains on sharp, standalone releases—including a forthcoming single featuring an officially cleared iconic ’90s sample—while keeping the fundamental passion that carried him from a suburban bedroom to international mainstages intact.
“My primary goal is expanding this project to its highest potential while preserving that genuine spark—ensuring the audience connects deeply and authentically with the energy we bring to every dancefloor.”
