Meta* (designated as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation) is developing an immersive series based on the horror film “Talk to Me,” Variety reports.
The project will act as a spin-off and is being produced in 3D. The untitled, six-episode series has been crafted specifically for viewing with a virtual reality headset.
The narrative follows a group of young people who throw a party on a European island and soon confront a demonic Hand that grants the ability to see spirits. Insiders cite HBO’s “Euphoria” among the visual and tonal references.
The Australian horror “Talk to Me” premiered in 2023 from the Philippou brothers and studio A24. The film achieved record box-office returns — $92 million on a $4.5 million budget — and a sequel is already in development.
